Duchy’s barn conversion fully let

The Duchy of Lancaster has let the final cottage at Meremoor Farm Barns near Weston in Crewe, six months after the £900,000 barn conversion was completed.

The development, which was completed in November 2012, saw owner the Duchy of Lancaster convert four barns into cottages. The final letting was completed on Monday by managing agent Smiths Gore.

Paul Clarke, chief executive of the Duchy of Lancaster, said: "When the opportunity to renovate the site came along, we decided that we wanted to create four high-quality dwellings that matched the rural feel of the area.

"We were really impressed with the quality of the cottages once they were completed and I think those who viewed them were too, which is reflected in how quickly they've all been let.

"The transformation has been fantastic and we're pleased we have managed to maintain the traditional and rural appearance of the site."
