Duchy acquires 38 acres in Lancashire
The Leeds-based housebuilder has bought a site off Garstang Road in Great Eccleston from five private landowners.
Duchy Homes did not disclose how much it paid for the site.
Wyre Council granted land promoter Metacre outline planning permission last year for 350 houses on the plot.
Duchy plans to submit a reserved matters application later this year.
The acquisition is Duchy’s largest in the North West to date. The company also has developments in Grimsargh near Preston, and Middleton in Rochdale.
More North West acquisitions are planned in 2022 as Duchy eyes another four sites in the region, according to the company.
Fraser Linaker, regional managing director, said: “I’m delighted in the performance of the North West team and look forward to the continued success of the business and its people.’’
