Discovery Quay for sale to student market
Residential developer Pinnacle Alliance has launched a student accommodation scheme in Salford Quays, ahead of the development starting on site at the end of this year.
Discovery Quay on King William Street will be made up of more than 299 studio apartments across two blocks, with bespoke facilities specifically targeting students.
The project was designed by Day Architectural and already has outline planning permission, with full permission expected in March.
The self-contained studios, which start from £88,143, will vary in size but will be specifically designed to offer students a blend of privacy and space.
Andrew Dixon, managing director of Pinnacle Alliance, said: “We’re excited to be offering such state of the art accommodation facilities to students and investors. The apartments will offer vibrant communal spaces and cutting edge facilities, all within a safe and secure environment. We’re expecting that the units will attract a high level of interest from investors and those looking to benefit from Salford’s booming property market.”
Works on the scheme are scheduled to begin in November 2016 and will be complete from August 2018 in time for students to start the 2018/19 academic year.
Pinnacle Alliance delivers residential and student accommodation across the North of England with developments in Liverpool, Manchester and Chester. The company’s head office is located in Didsbury, Manchester, and it employs more than 75 members of staff.
