Developer brings forward Woodford Lodge homes
Cheshire West & Chester Council is due to approve plans from Keepmoat for 401 homes on the site of the former Woodford Lodge High School, on the outskirts of Winsford town centre.
The council selected Keepmoat in July 2015 to bring forward a residential development on the 30-acre brownfield plot.
CWAC is the freehold owner of the site, with the remaining school buildings demolished last year.
Plans include the construction of a mix of one-bedroom apartments, and two-, three- and four-bedroom houses.
There will also be a central village garden with play area, and a wildlife corridor.
The planning application includes 130 affordable houses.
A meeting of Cheshire West & Chester’s planning committee will discuss the scheme on Tuesday 26 April.
