DB Symmetry on the move in Manchester

Developer DB Symmetry has relocated its headquarters in Manchester as part of an expansion drive, taking the fourth floor and mezzanine of Victoria Buildings on Albert Square.

The developer will relocate from its existing space at Old Bank Chambers, St Anne’s Square, and has taken 2,700 sq ft at Victoria Buildings on a 10-year lease.

LJ Real Estate owns the building, which is also home to occupiers including the Royal British Legion and Lyons Wilson, and was represented by OBI Property. JLL is also the joint leasing advisor on Victoria Buildings.

DB Symmetry’s move means the building is now fully let, and the company’s office move will take place next month.

The move follows two hires in the last six months, after Paul Chatterjee joined as development director in December and Matt Claxton was hired from GVA as associate planning director.

Projects the developer is working on include MA6NITUDE in Middlewich in partnership with Pochins, while the developer is also looking to deliver a site in Speke which could house up to 1.3m sq ft of employment space.

Andrew Dickman, director at DB Symmetry, said: “Relocating to Victoria Buildings is a key strategic move for us as we continue to drive forward with our growth ambitions across the north.

“Albert Square is a thriving hub at the centre of Manchester’s business and commercial district and is ideally suited for our business’ needs. As well as being located in a highly popular and sought-after destination, the building has been fitted out to an incredibly impressive standard – so it ticks every box.”
