DB Symmetry adds surveyor

Logistics developer DB Symmetry has appointed Sarah Chicken as development surveyor.

Chicken joins the firm’s Manchester office from Gerald Eve where she worked primarily on residential development, focused on financial viability, assessments and valuation. Prior to that, she was a graduate surveyor at Knight Frank, where she trained for two years, gaining experience in valuations, commercial agency, lease advisory and business rates.

In her new role, she will be working on Symmetry Park developments including Middlewich and Wigan, as well as helping to identify and bring new strategic sites forward.

She said: “I have wanted to move into commercial development for some time and this opportunity enables me to work for a developer that is widely recognised as being at the top of their game. I’ll be working on the delivery of existing projects and identifying new opportunities across the North of England and Scotland.”

Andrew Dickman, director at DB, said: “This is an exciting time to be joining our Manchester office. With a land portfolio of 700 acres of logistics space and with a further 2,400 acres being promoted through the planning process for logistics use, it is essential that we have the best talent in place at every level of the organisation.

“Sarah’s work ethic very much mirrors our own and this will allow us to bring forward these major schemes, so that we can continue to deliver our strategic growth ambitions.”
