Day appoints business development director

Caroline Taylor has returned to the Manchester-based architecture firm after six months with Morgan Sindall Construction.

Taylor first joined Day Architectural in February 2014. She stayed with the company for eight years before being lured away to Morgan Sindall – only to be coaxed into returning to Day with a promotion as a sweetener.

As business development director, Taylor is charged with developing a strategy to grow the business and enhance its market presence in the healthcare, education and residential sectors.

“I am delighted to have been appointed as business development director at Day,” Taylor said. “Having played a part of Day’s journey over the last 10 years I am excited for my next chapter and look forward to helping shape the business into the future, ensuring continued growth and success.”

Day board director Gary Lynas said that the company was “delighted” to have Taylor back, adding that she would be “key to helping us achieve our future business growth aspirations and targets”.

“Her energy, enthusiasm, positivity and professionalism are welcomed, and we all look forward to supporting and entrusting her with the implementation and development of Day’s strategic business growth plans moving forward,” he continued.

As she rejoins Day’s 80-strong staff, Taylor said she was especially proud of the relationship she had helped the firm foster with the University of Cumbria, which had resulted in landing the contract for the £77.5m Carlisle Citadels redevelopment.
