Davis Langdon reports strong regional growth

Leading cost consultant Davis Langdon's North West offices reported a rise in annual turnover of around 20% to almost £10m in the past year.

The company's annual report reveals that turnover at the Liverpool office rose by 20.9% to reach £4.1m, while its Manchester New Bailey Street office increased by 18.7% to £5.4m.

Staff numbers in the two offices have also grown, with Liverpool's Cunard Building operation increasing by more than 12% to 69, and the Manchester branch by a similar degree to 71 employees.

A number of major projects, including Grosvenor's Liverpool One, the Liverpool Cruise Liner Facility, and the New Anfield stadium at Stanley Park, along with the Arena and Convention Centre at Kings Waterfront helped drive growth in the city.

The Manchester office is working on the expansion of Manchester and Lancaster Universities, Talbot Gateway in Blackpool and the Central Salford masterplan.

The group increased turnover by 25% across the Europe and the Middle East region from £122m to £154m.
