David Sayer recruits director from Avison Young

Ben Woodcock has joined the Wirral-based consultancy as land and property director after six years with Avison Young.

Working at David Sayer Consultancy will act as a reunion for Woodcock and the company’s founder, David Sayer. Sayer also worked at Avison Young, departing from that consultancy in 2018 after 13 years to form DSC.

During Woodcock’s time as an associate director at Avison Young, he aided in the sale of 128 affordable homes at Victoria Riverside to Trafford Housing Trust and of Liverpool Football Club’s Melwood training ground to Torus Developments.

At DSC, Woodcock will be putting his expertise in agency and disposal, developer procurement, strategic land advice, and development consultancy to good use.

“Ben is joining at a really important time for the business,” said Sayer.

“[Woodcock’s] skillset will be hugely complementary in advising on land acquisitions, disposals and development consultancy,” Sayer continued. “I am delighted to be working alongside him again.”

Since DSC’s founding, the consultancy has advised on the disposal of more than 2,000 units across the North. Current projects include aiding Taylor Wimpey and Barratts on their plans for 450-homes off Broken Stone Road in Blackburn.
