Crown Oil eyes expansion at Heysham Business Park

The fuel giant wants to refurbish the Lancashire complex and add 250,000 sq ft of industrial space, having acquired the site from Celtech for an undisclosed sum.

The estates division of Crown Oil Group bought the 350,000 sq ft Heysham Business Park in conjunction with SCP Investments and Ignite Asset Management.

Located off Stalls Road in Middleton, south of Heysham, the 44-acre estate is a 15-minute drive from junction 34 of the M6 via the new Bay Gateway road.

Crown is now planning to draw up a masterplan for the site’s expansion, featuring offices, industrial, and distribution space. Some existing buildings could be demolished under the proposals.

BBS Law acted on the purchase of the site and Robert Pinkus and Co the letting and managing agents.

Occupiers at Heysham Business Park include mechanic BP Performance, camping supplies company Lune Valley Pods, and marine engineer National Pontoon.
