Croft Goode recruits two
Kirkham-based Croft Goode Architects has recruited two more to its team.
Jeremy Totton has joined from Cheshire-based Taylor Young Handforth architects, who brings with him experience in master-planning large residential areas for urban renewal across the UK, including the North West and London.
Mike Stewart has joined from TADW Architects in Stockport and brings experience in social housing and healthcare, including work at hospitals such as Christies and Wythenshawe Hospital, Manchester, and Royal Preston Hospital.
Mick Goode, director of Croft Goode Architects, said: "It's a real coup for us to be able to appoint two architects with such calibre and experience within their specialist sectors.
"It's still a tough environment out there and this places even more emphasis on quality and skill. Mike and Jeremy's expertise is a great addition to the collective strength of our team, which will be integral to securing further work as we enter another crucial stage in the economic recovery."
Croft Goode was the architect behind the Astling Green development in Mereside, Blackpool, which was a £1.3m project funded by the Homes & Communities Agency and developed by Great Places Housing Group.
The scheme of eight semi-detached houses achieved level 5 of the Government's Code for Sustainable Homes. All the properties are now fully occupied with local families.
Croft Goode, formed in 1994 by Croft and Mick Goode, has recruited three new staff this year increasing the team to 22.
