CPUK sees profits soar by nearly 100%

Construction firm CPUK has reported that its profits for the last financial year have almost doubled. The Skelmersdale company has seen its pre-tax profits for 2006-07 rise from £346,02 in 2005-06 to £684,778.

More than 50% of CPUK's revenues for the year came from repeat clients, with turnover up by 33% at £20.8m.

The company now says its projected turnover for 2007-08 is approaching £30m.

Almost 90% of the total turnover of the company came through negotiated business rather than successful competitive tenders.

CPUK's business highs include a £6m residential development for Hillcrest Homes, in Cheshire, a £7m apartment development in Preston, and Pacific Quay, a £4m office project near Salford Quays, Greater Manchester, for Peel Holdings.
