CPUK buys land for new HQ from Metier

Construction Partnership UK has unveiled plans to build a £2m headquarters at Métier Property Holdings' White Moss Business Park in Skelmersdale.

The new 7,000 sq ft two-storey base will mean relocating across the road from the building firm's existing base in the West Lancashire Investment Centre.

CPUK is the lead contractor on the 60,000 sq ft, £12.5m business park for Cheshire-based Métier on the site, off junction four of the M58.

Steve Burke, managing director of CPUK, which has a 66-strong workforce, said: "The announcement underlines our strong commitment to the area and to the local economy. We started our operations here and as we expand we want to stay here.

"This is a great location, we have substantial contracts across the North West and White Moss Business Park is ideally situated for us.

"The need for this new home for CPUK is the result of our continued growth and expansion in the region and we are all looking forward to making the short move once we have finished construction."

Andrew Hine of Métier added: "With the pre-sale of six out of a total of nine units already secured on phase one we are hopeful of achieving pre-sales of the remaining three units prior to completion in July.

"Already we have pre sold units to David Cain Projects, CPUK and graphic designers Loaf creative, and have a good level of interest in the remaining buildings. On the success of the first phase, we are now turning our attention to the second phase where we have consent for a further 40,000sf of B1 office accommodation which is likely to be a mixture of similar sized units to phase one and larger bespoke buildings."
