Consultation starts into Bramall Hall project
Stockport Council is consulting residents on plans for improvements to the Grade 1-listed Bramall Hall.
Last year, the local authority was awarded a £67,000 grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund to draw up plans for the hall and park. The council is now progressing to the second stage of HLF's application process, detailed proposals to secure a further £933,000.
The £1m project aims to transform the hall, estate buildings and park into a regionally important heritage conservation site by improving access, undertaking work to the walled garden and stable block, and developing the education and events programmes.
People are urged to make their views known by completing online questionnaires via interactive computers located at Bramall Hall and Bramall Park Tea Rooms, the Country Fayre Deli and A Sweet Thought in Bramhall Village, and the Paprika Coffee Shop and Bar in Cheadle Hulme. There is also a paper questionnaire at Simply Books in Bramhall Village.
The deadline for all views and comments is Friday 16 March.
