Consent for hat-trick of Wigan sheds

Eden Asset Management has been given planning approval for three industrial units totaling 92,000 sq ft at Hindley Green Business Park.

The plans, worked up by Eden Asset Management on behalf of Kite International Investments, were up for approval at the November committee but a decision was deferred so that a site visit could take place.

Wigan Council approved the proposal in line with officer recommendations at its last planning meeting of the year.

The sheds would be constructed on underused land within an established business park. The scheme is a response to a “notable upturn in market demand” for this type of space, according to a planning statement prepared by Urban Future.

The largest of the trio of units would be 45,200 sq ft. The other two would be 23,600 sq ft.
