Colliers to advise on £330m GMPF portfolio

Colliers International has won a five-year instruction as the main external valuer for Greater Manchester Pension Fund’s £330m direct property portfolio, incorporating 50 assets throughout the UK.

GMPF, which is administered by Tameside Council, is the UK’s largest local authority pension fund serving all of the Greater Manchester local authorities and other admitted organisations.

As of the 2014 year end, GMPF was valued at £17.5bn and is the second largest council fund in the UK.

Paul Willis, director of valuation and advisory services at Colliers International, said: “We are thrilled to be instructed on GMPF’s direct property portfolio, which extends across the North West as well as the rest of the UK and incorporates a diversified mixture of commercial property assets.”
