Chancerygate prelets 60,000 sq ft to DPD
The industrial developer has submitted a detailed planning application to Oldham Council for an £11m warehouse on land at Greengate, Chadderton after agreeing a deal with distributor DPD Group UK.
Subject to planning approval, the scheme will be occupied by DPD on completion in summer 2017.
Mike Walker, development director, Chancerygate, said: “Parcel delivery is becoming an increasingly important sector of the market. When fully operational, the DPD distribution centre will create 350 new full time jobs which is great news for Oldham.”
The expansion follows DPD’s launch of its Predict service which notifies customers of their one-hour delivery slot in advance.
