Cert consults on next tranche of Old Trafford homes

Having already delivered 152 apartments across its Kinetic and Insignia schemes, the developer is now plotting an additional 100 properties on an adjoining site.

Cert Property has launched a consultation on Velocity, a new-build residential development in Old Trafford featuring a mix of apartments and townhouses.

Designed by OMI Architects, the project is to be constructed on a car park off Talbot Road, behind Kinetic.

“We have worked hard with our professional team to deliver a high-quality design providing a range of property types to suit a wide demographic,” said Howard Lord, Cert Property managing director.

“We are seeking to deliver a scheme that furthers the area’s transformation as part of Trafford’s Civic Quarter and provides plenty of amenity for residents, with extensive garden areas at both ground and rooftop level.”

Enabl is the planning consultant for the project and is the landscape architect.

OMI, Enabl and Layer are also advising Cert on a 30-storey development at Clippers Quay in Salford. The project features a mix of apartments and community living accommodation.

I like this. Even on such a hidden site it’s good to see design quality isn’t being scaled back.
