CBRE picked for Issa Quay

Property consultant CB Richard Ellis has been appointed as adviser on the sale of Manchester's residential and retail scheme Issa Quay.

The firm has been hired by Richard Fleming and David Costley-Wood, joint administrators of BS Construction, following the collapse of the Bashar Issa-owned developer in May.

The assets for sale included Issa Quay – Issa's only completed scheme, Canopus in Salford's Greengate area, and Sarah Tower, off Dale Street.

Issa Quay comprises 84 apartments as well as retail, food, and drink outlets and basement parking.

Julian Such, associate director for hospitality, leisure and alternative investment at CBRE, said: "The administrators have been faced with a number of challenges which required clarification prior being able to market the property. This process is now drawing to a close and we are working with KPMG to ensure a timely conclusion."
