CBRE joins Greengate Embankment team

The office agency team at CBRE in Manchester has been appointed by Ask Property Developments, Carillion and Tristan Capital Partners to market 101 Embankment in Salford.

The building is part of a 3.2m sq ft development at Greengate Embankment, which is being built on the site of the former Exchange station through a joint venture between Ask, Carillion and Tristan.

The first of two office buildings, 101 Embankment will comprise 167,000 sq ft over 10 storeys with 17,700 sq ft floor plates. There will be a 442-space car park alongside operated by Q-Park. Demolition works have now commenced, with 101 Embankment scheduled for completion in July 2016.

The public realm first phase of the scheme was completed in March 2013.

Salford City Council has agreed a non-occupational eight-year lease on the entirety of the office building, with the first two years rent-free. It will surrender the lease if tenants are secured. The building will be available at a quoting rent of £30/sq ft.

CBRE is joining DTZ as leasing agent on 101 Embankment.

Peter Mather, managing director of Tristan Capital Partners, said: "We are pleased to welcome CBRE onto the 101 Embankment agency team. Their exposure to the occupier market is second to none and we are confident that their appointment alongside DTZ will add to the success of our first phase at Embankment."
