CBRE asked to find a funder for Old Trafford resi
Brendan Flood’s Cole Waterhouse has appointed CBRE’s UK development and residential capital markets team to market its No. 1 Old Trafford scheme as it seeks an investor to fund the entire project.
The scheme sits next to Victoria Warehouse and Trafford Telephone Exchange and includes 354 river-view apartments, retail space, and communal gardens with a roof terrace. Designed by 5plus Architects, it was submitted for planning in March with a decision expected soon.
Comprising 139 one-bedroom, 211 two-bedroom and four three-bedroom apartments in 18-storey and 15-storey towers, No. 1 Old Trafford is to benefit from the proposed Wharfside Metrolink stop when the tram system is extended through Trafford Park.
Damian Flood, chief executive of Cole Waterhouse, said: “The location of this scheme and the proximity to the new Metrolink stop means buyers will have everything they need at their fingertips. We are bringing a vibrant new neighbourhood to Old Trafford and we have worked closely with our team to show what can be delivered in this location.”
Steven Verity, Northern head of CBRE’s UK development and residential capital markets team, added: “To say this is one of the most exciting residential property prospects in Manchester is an understatement. No. 1 Old Trafford is a key development in the sustained regeneration of Greater Manchester and the surrounding area, pivotal to both the commercial and domestic rejuvenation of the district.”
