Castlehouse Construction expands into Manchester

The Leeds-based construction company has opened an office at 82 King Street to target further work in the region.

Castlehouse has more than 30 staff, with existing employees set to work across both its Manchester and Leeds offices. The company said the office opening would help to service its growing North West client base and expanding development pipeline, as well as to target new markets.

The company currently has North West projects including a range of builds for retailer Lidl, with whom it has a national framework in place in Rochdale, Bury, Stockport and Blackpool. The firm has also undertaken projects for Aldi, Netto and Iceland in the region, and has recently been instructed on a 28-bedroom conversion project for Exemplar Healthcare in Liverpool.

Richard Lumley, chairman of Castlehouse Construction, said: “The establishment of the Manchester base reflects our commitment to our existing North West projects and demonstrates our confidence in the region’s development pipeline moving forwards.

“The business has enjoyed continued growth over the last decade despite a challenging market and with £25m of instructions on the books, we are set for another record year.”
