Castle Green moves ahead with next Daresbury phase
With 210 homes already under construction at the developer’s 43-acre site off Red Brow Lane, plans for the next 43 have now been lodged with Halton Council.
Castle Green Homes wants to build a mix of two-, three- and four-bedroom houses on a chunk of the Daresbury site it acquired from Marshall CDP in 2022.
Castle Green bought the site with outline consent for more than 300 homes for more than £25m.
Eight of the homes in the latest phase are earmarked as affordable. The ambition for the wider site is 25% affordable.

Elsewhere in the region, Castle Green is progressing plans for 315 homes in Ewloe in its native North Wales and just last month unveiled plans for 340 homes in Warrington.
Why not build more R&D buildings; that would serve the common weal more than houses out in the sticks.

Hopefully residents will benefit from the new train station Mayor Rotheram is proposing . However it’s not scheduled to open till 2030 even though announced over 2 years ago, amazing that it takes this long to achieve one bog standard station.
