Carpenter consults on West Kirby’s The Sail

Carpenter Investments, the joint venture between timber merchant Alan Beer and Hope Street Hotel founder Dave Brewitt, will this week open public consultation on plans to redevelop West Kirby waterfront.

Carpenter Investments was selected as development partner by Wirral council to develop a new sailing school and boutique hotel alongside the town's marine lake.

Beer, a West Kirby resident, said the exhibition was only the beginning of a consultation process and that the public would have further opportunities to comment if the proposals are taken forward as a formal planning application.

The consultation exhibition opens on Thursday in the town's Concourse building.
