Capital & Centric bolsters development team

Capital & Centric has recruited two new executives to its development team.

Louise Pearson has joined the company from Bruntwood as development manager and Neil Taylor has become a non-executive director.

Capital & Centric was formed through a merger of Manchester developers Capital Properties, started by Adam Higgins, and Tim Heatley's Centric Property Group earlier in the year.

At Bruntwood Pearson was responsible for leasing the group's retail and leisure portfolio in Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds and Birmingham.

Before moving to the Manchester-based landlord she spent four years at Modus working on the company's mixed use regeneration portfolio including schemes like the Grand Arcade in Wigan and Houndshill Shopping Centre in Blackpool.

Taylor has been hired to build the company's regeneration portfolio which includes Estuary Banks in south Liverpool and Crown Business Park in Rochdale.

He has previously worked as a regeneration consultant with Citex, Lambert Smith Hampton and in-house at English Partnerships before he setting up on his own as Taylor UDC in 2002.

He said: "Having initially built a relationship with Centric Property, I'm really excited about joining the newly formed Capital & Centric Plc more formally. Tim Heatley and Adam Higgins together are a formidable team with a robust strategy."

Pearson said: "I worked with Tim for a number of years at Modus and the opportunity to work with the Capital & Centric Plc team is a great move for me. In the current market, it's fantastic to join a young company with already exciting portfolio."
