Calor Gas to sell Cheshire site
Energy supplier Calor Gas has put its redundant 11.2-acre distribution site in Ellesmere Port on the market for £3.25m.
Calor has instructed Lambert Smith Hampton's industrial team in Manchester to sell the site.
Last year a comprehensive review of each of the nine Calor filling plants in the UK was carried out to examine opportunities for potential savings and operational efficiencies.
The review led to proposals being developed to close the Ellesmere Port site, and last July it was announced that it had been earmarked for closure.
Andrew Aherne from LSH said: "The site is a great opportunity for someone who needs a transport yard or a site for open storage because it is already concreted. There is also flexibility for an office or industrial development.
"The site also has access to the Manchester Ship Canal and is immediately adjacent to Junction 9 of the M53."
