Bury seeks business park developer

Bury Council has launched a contest to select a development partner to deliver employment space on 21 acres at Chamberhall Business Park on the edge of the town centre.

This is a council-owned site suitable for office and industrial development along the banks of the River Irwell.

The council plans to sell the development on a long leasehold basis, using a phase-by-phase approach.

A formal procurement process has started through The Chest, the local authority tender system. The deadline for expressions of interest is noon on Monday 15 February.

By Russel D

Swallowing most of the well used remaining green space and no mention of the Industrial Archaeology previously identified as needing retention on the site. PAG also wanted a hotel here………..enough said.
