Building For All | Breakfast event will explore accessibility and inclusivity
Morgan Sindall Construction is joining forces with Place North West for a special event to look at how we can make the property industry, and the buildings it creates, more accessible for those with disabilities.
The Building For All event will be held at Novotel Liverpool Paddington Village in Liverpool on 21 September. The hotel is fitting for the discussion, with several rooms specifically designed to be accessible. The architect behind the hotel, Elizabeth Mason of Ryder Architecture, will also be speaking at the event to share her perspective on creating inclusive spaces.
Building For All will feature a panel discussion between property and construction experts, who will share their experiences and perspectives on making the industry more inclusive. Among those speaking will be Steve Dering, chief operations director at accessibility consulting firm Direct Access. Of Direct Access’s team, 86% are disabled and use their personal experiences to help shape their work.
Confirmed speakers:
- Elizabeth Mason, senior architect at Ryder Architecture
- Steve Dering, operations director, Direct Access
- Richard Dryden, director at MAC Consulting
- Frances Hampson, associate director at Deloitte
- Barry Roberts, managing director at Morgan Sindall Construction North West
