Brewin Dolphin relocates to Spinningfields
The independent investment manager has signed a 15 year lease on 7,756 sq ft on the fourth floor of 1 The Avenue at Spinningfields, Manchester city centre.
Following a deal with Outsourcery, developer Allied London and building owner IM Properties has now let the final remaining space at 1 The Avenue to Brewin Dolphin for an undisclosed rent.
The company, which is one of the UK's largest independent private client investment managers, joins national law firm McGrigors as well as designer store Emporio Armani and restaurant Australasia, located on the ground floor.
Michael Ingall, chief executive of Allied London, said: "1 The Avenue is a landmark building in Manchester, in fact probably one of the most iconic office buildings in the UK, which is why Allied London has been able to continue to attract quality tenants, despite the current slowdown in the city's commercial property market. Spinningfields offers a dynamic environment and Brewin Dolphin will quickly feel part of the community and benefit from everything the estate has to offer. Elsewhere on the estate, we are attracting a lot of interest and the number of commercial organisations we have welcomed is now well in excess of 50.
"This week we launch Tower 12 to the leasing market and are expecting significant interest as it is a product aimed at a new sector of the market for Spinningfields."
Will Lewis, from OBI Property, who is now leasing partner to Allied London on Quay House, Tower 12 and 1 The Avenue, added: "We are working really hard with Allied, who have a proven track record in creating either the best or unique products that can create a market rather than simply respond to it. We have a really dynamic product at Spinningfields, with office and commercial space ranging from £5 per sq ft to £30 per sq ft, with a new agenda from Allied to attract SME's, niche firms, and focus on the TMT sector as well. We will shortly be launching a new web based marketing tool which will give instant access to what space is available at Spinningfields at any one time."
Brewin Dolphin, which is relocating from National House at 36 St Ann Street in Manchester city centre, also has an office in Chester.
The firm was advised by Paul Smith at Jones Lang LaSalle.
