Brabners appoints new head of environmental
Law firm Brabners Chaffe Street has recruited Claire Gregory from Hammonds as head of its environment and regulatory team.
As well as heading up the specialist regulatory and environmental team, Gregory will support the property and corporate teams on compliance issues.
She said: "Businesses in all sectors are under increasing pressure to move the environment higher up their agendas, particularly given the new coalition government's commitment to developing a low-carbon economy. Brabners Chaffe Street already has an established reputation as being a key regional player in the field of regulatory and environmental law and I look forward to building on this further."
Gregory's expertise covers general environmental and health and safety advice, renewable energy, contaminated land and brownfield redevelopment, corporate due diligence, environmental permitting and water and waste management.
Mark Brandwood, managing partner of Brabners Chaffe Street, commented: "Claire brings considerable expertise to the role and her credentials are a strategic fit with the existing team. We pride ourselves on having a wealth of experience and strong technical skills and, with Claire in place, we will be able to boost our environmental law offerings and further broaden our support for businesses. She will be a valuable addition to the team."
Brabners has offices in Liverpool, Manchester and Preston.
