Blue Machinery buys plot for new HQ
Industrial equipment distributor Blue Machinery has bought a two-acre development plot at New Cheshire Business Park near Northwich.
The business, which plans to build a new headquarters, bought the site from Manchester-based Chantry Developments which is developing the site in Wincham.
Blue Machinery plans to move 30 staff from two existing sites at Appleton Thorn Trading Estate and Daresbury, near Warrington, to Northwich.
It says the site will include office space, a workshop and maintenance facilities.
Plans have been drawn up and submitted with a decision expected in March.
Stephen Capper, senior surveyor at CBRE's industrial agency in Manchester, said: "New Cheshire Business Park provides an excellent opportunity for occupiers to both establish and expand their business.
"Benefiting from excellent links to the national motorway networks and nearby airports, this recent success together with continued interest from a number of other prospective occupiers demonstrates the strengths of the Estate."
Cllr Herbert Manley, executive member for regeneration at Cheshire West and Chester, said: "This is excellent news for the area particulaly in these challenging economic times and demonstrates the continuing trend of attracting and retainng high quality jobs in and around Northwich."
