Bellway buys in Bolton
The housebuilder has acquired a 14-acre former business park site on Lostock Lane for the development of 214 homes.
Previously home to Hercules Business Park, the site will be redeveloped as Hazel Fold, a project including one and two bedroom apartments as well as three and four bedroom semi-detached and detached houses.
Infrastructure works have already started on site, with build of the homes due to officially start in February, with show homes to be opened this summer.
Hollie Reynolds, sales director at Bellway, said: “Hazel Fold will be a welcome addition to Lostock and with a great range of stylish properties planned, the development will appeal to buyers of all ages.”
The project entails financial contributions including £200,000 towards education and £60,000 towards off-site public open space.
Other Bolton projects delivered by Bellway include the 112-home first phase of the proposed 1,700-home Loco Works neighbourhood in Horwich, where Morris Homes is now advancing phae two.
In November last year, Bellway acquired the 24-acre former Burtons Biscuits site on the Wirral for development, and is also one of the firms building at the former King’s School site in Macclesfield.
