Be One Homes nets £75m for Bolton resi push
The loan from Saltaire Housing, provided through the government’s Affordable Homes Guarantee Scheme, will enable the registered provider to build 300 residences and retrofit a wide variety of existing properties.
Formerly known as Bolton at Home, Be One Homes has ambitions to build 750 homes over the next three years. The £75m, fixed interest rate, 13-year Saltaire loan will see nearly half of those plans come to fruition.
It also will help with Be One Homes’ pre-existing commitment to invest £68m in upgrading the more than 19,000 homes it manages since its merger with Arcon Housing Association in 2024.
Pam Welford, executive director of finance, development, and business services at Be One Homes, said: “Like any large organisation, we plan carefully for the long term and make sure the right funding is in place – not just for today, but for the years ahead.”
Welford added: “The loan’s fixed rate and 13-year term give us greater certainty over future costs. That supports responsible long-term planning and helps protect funding for services and wider investment.”
Anthony Collins’ funding team supported Be One Homes on the loan agreement.
Anthony Collins legal director Adriana Klincova said: “Be One Homes has demonstrated its ability to build and maintain affordable homes to a high standard, and this funding will enable them to do even more. We are pleased to have played a role in enabling their development vision.”

You need to sort the houses that haven’t had anything done to them for years ie, new windows, kitchens fencing, before you build anymore
