Barker to rebuild DTZ retail team

DTZ has promoted Richard Barker to lead the Manchester retail agency team covering the North West market.

Barker will lead an initial team of five but DTZ said there were plans to grow "significantly over the next six months".

Barker replaces Gary Crompton who left the UK to work in Moscow. The reshuffle at DTZ was also prompted by the departure of the former Donaldsons retail agency team in Manchester to join Cushman & Wakefield following the takeover by DTZ.

DTZ is retained on major shopping centres throughout the North West, including Merseyway, Stockport, The Lanes, Carlisle and new developments in Lancashire and Burnley. The team's key clients include Henry Boot, Morley Fund Management, Moorfield, Centos Miller, Frogmore, Modus and AXA. Instructions for occupier clients include Perfect Home, Ladbrokes, The Works, Deichmann Shoes, Zumo Juice Bars and Specsavers.
