Balfour Beatty latest to join PRS race

Balfour Beatty Investments has submitted a planning application for a build-to-rent development within New Cross, near Manchester’s Northern Quarter.

The Hodder & Partners design consists of 274 one, two and three bedroom apartments within two buildings positioned around a landscaped courtyard.

Balfour Beatty Investments acquired the site in January 2016 and pending the successful planning application it is anticipated that construction will start late 2016 with the first residents moving in in late 2018.

Balfour Beatty said the development follows the principles set out by Manchester City Council within the New Cross Neighbourhood Development Framework to help bring forward the regeneration of the area.
