Aurora signs Screwfix Direct to Gateway Park

Aurora Property Group has signed Screwfix Direct, a supplier of trade tools, accessories and hardware products, to Gateway Park in Bangor, North Wales.

Screwfix has taken units three and four, amounting to 7,032 sq ft, on a ten year lease for an undisclosed sum.

The firm will join existing tenant Eurocell, leaving one trade counter unit left available on the first phase of the scheme, measuring 3,653 sq ft.

Rob Taylor of Knight Frank, joint agent in the development, said: "The first phase of the scheme has been received very well and there certainly seems to be a demand for trade counter facilities in the North West. The second phase of development is now underway and will consist of seven units totalling in excess of 16,000 sq ft. These units will offer high quality, contemporary trade counter, storage and office space, which we anticipate will also be well received. Indeed, we already have a couple of enquiries looking at the accommodation."

Taylor added that the first phase also includes a further 60,000 sq ft of existing warehouse accommodation which is currently available to let.

Gateway Park is located on the A5 arterial route to Bangor, a quarter of a mile from the A55 North Wales coastal route and half a mile from Bangor town centre.

The 12-acre site is divided in to three phases and already home to a Driving Standard Agency centre and test driving track, alongside 74,338 sq ft of existing commercial units and a further area of development land for design and build opportunities.

Richard Baddeley & Company is joint agent on Gateway Park.
