Assura sets directors share targets
The listed healthcare landlord has granted share awards to Jonathan Murphy, finance director, and Andrew Darke, property director, tied to performance targets.
Murphy was awarded 607,759 shares, which would be worth £352,000 at today’s price of 58p. Murphy owned 957,517 shares at 31 March 2016. Murphy’s salary in financial year 2016/17 is £235,000 with a bonus of 75% of salary awardable subject to hitting target. The bonus cap was raised from 50% of salary last year. Murphy received his full 50% of salary bonus last year, after strong performance and taking on extra responsibilities when Graham Roberts, chief executive, was taken ill. Roberts died from cancer in July.
Darke, a senior manager whose salary details do not show on the company annual report as he not a board director, was awarded 530,172 shares, equivalent to £307,500 at today’s share price. In December 2015, Darke sold 600,000 shares at 54.75p each, leaving him with 378,739 shares.
Warrington-based Assura told the London Stock Exchange: “These latest awards are subject to two performance conditions which will be determined after the 2018/19 financial year. 50% of the award shares are subject to an absolute Total Shareholder Return performance condition, and the remaining 50% of the award shares are subject to an absolute Net Asset Value per share growth performance condition.”
