Arup appoints planner for Peel Liverpool scheme

International consultancy Arup has appointed Ian Ford from IBI Taylor Young as a planning consultant to work alongside associate director Paul Grover in its Liverpool office.

Arup cited an increasing workload related to Peel Holdings' Liverpool Waters proposals as the reason for the appointment.

Ford will be taking forward the next stage of the Liverpool Waters project, for which outline planning consent was secured in June 2013. He will also be working on the preparation of marketing materials on selected plots within Liverpool Waters for the upcoming International Festival for Business.

Prior to working with IBI Taylor Young, Ford was employed by Liverpool City Council. He has advised on a number of projects in the Liverpool city region including the exhibition centre and hotel at Kings Dock.
