Approval for 39 homes in South Lakeland village
Holbeck Homes has secured permission to develop on land to the south of Haggs Lane in Cartmel, near the conservation area.
The five-acre site was previously greenfield and home to a horse paddock, and will be made up of 35% affordable housing.
Of the 39 homes, 14 will be classed as affordable, with a housing mix ranging from one-bed apartments to four-bed houses.
Access to the development will be via a single access to Haggs Lane and each property will have two parking spaces.
Having been recommended for approval, Westmorland and Furness Council’s South Lakeland local area planning committee backed the proposals at their meeting on Thursday, 27 June.
On the project team are MPSL Planning and Design, Smith & Love Planning Cosultants, Treescapes Consultancy, Sutcliffe, CoDa Structures, Garner Planning, Stephenson Halliday, SHD Lighting Consultancy, Greenlane Archaeology, and Moda.
