Applied Nutrition eyes neighbouring Knowsley plot for shed

An agreement between applicant Ryder & Granite Estates and Applied Nutrition would see an 83,200 sq ft unit leased to the company to drive its expansion.

Knowsley Council will decide whether the warehouse can be built on 5.6 acres of brownfield at Knowsley Industrial Park, off Acornfield Road and opposite Applied Nutrition’s headquarters.

The shed would provide a 10,400 sq ft office space in addition to the 72,800 sq ft area, to be used primarily for storage and distribution.

An on-site staff gym is included in the plans.

Maze Planning Solutions has compiled the application on behalf of Ryder & Granite Estates. Building Design Northern has led on the shed’s design.

The development will require the demolition of the two remaining structures on the plot off Acornfield Road, which previously hosted Syntor Fine Chemicals.
