Aparthotel plotted for former Warrington bank

Hotel developer YP Group wants to covert the 9,500 sq ft former Parr’s Bank on Winwick Street into a 16-bedroom hotel.

Under the plans, most of the ground floor of the grade two-listed building would be converted to create a reception, guests’ lounge and lobby.

A portion of the space would be retained for an alternative future use that has yet to be determined.

The hotel rooms would be located on the first and second floors of the three-storey building.

Built in 1877, the bank was last occupied by NatWest, which vacated the property in 2015.

The building, located opposite Warrington bus station, has been vacant since and is in a state of disrepair, according to Knutsford-based planning consultant Walsingham Town planning.

YP Group is run by directors Yaadwinder Singh Johal and Pavan Johal.
