Anwyl rounds off 176 units in £42m investment
The housebuilder has completed the delivery of 96 homes in Warton and 80 homes in Catterall. All of the properties at both locations have now been sold.
Mill Green
Anwyl has delivered 96 homes at Clifton House Farm off Lytham Road in Warton, in a project that has a GDV of £22m.
The neighbourhood spans nine acres and reserves 2.2 acres for public open space with a children’s playground.
In total, the site provides 66 private sale properties and 30 affordable units of mixed tenure.
The housing mix consists of four one-bedroom flats, with 18 two-, 41 three-, and 33 four-bedroom houses.
Anwyl and local contractors began work on site in summer 2021.
Section 106 contributions from the housebuilder amounted to £380,000.
Around £180,000 has been invested in local primary school education and contributed £125,000 towards the local bus service.
Cross Fields
On 8.5 acres off Preston Lancaster New Road in Catterall, Anwyl has built an 80-home neighbourhood, which includes 24 affordable properties.
Cross Fields features a housing mix of 12 two-, 44 three-, and 24 four-bedroom houses.
Each home has a secure, fenced rear garden with private access.
A public green space with a playground and a pond splits the development.
As a result of the project, the Garstang Medical Centre has received a £26,000 boost and Lancashire County Council has been given £224,000 to fund sustainable transport initiatives.
Anwyl began work on the £20m scheme in summer 2022.
John Grime, managing director of Anwyl Homes Lancashire, said: “We’ve recently finished building and selling new homes at Mill Green in Warton and Cross Fields in Catterall.
“Between them, they’ve provided more than 175 homes; supported dozens of jobs and generated an increase in council tax revenues.
“For our part, we’ve invested more than £630,000 in the two areas to help ensure those neighbourhoods continue to thrive.”

He added: “We’re keen to acquire new sites across the North West, including Lancashire, Greater Manchester, the Liverpool City Region, and parts of Cheshire to contribute towards government targets of building 370,000 homes a year.”
“We’ve recently acquired land in Warrington and Haydock and we’re active in the land market as we’re keen to help meet the demand for housing.”
Anwyl purchased 11.5 acres in Haydock in a January deal with Hollins Strategic Land, while its acquisition of Eagles Green in Warrington has translated into an approved 157-home scheme.
