Anwyl lines up £8.5m deal with Magenta
Magenta Living is in advanced talks to buy a site in Liscard, Wirral from Anwyl Partnerships to deliver a 53-unit extra care project.
The agreement would include buying the land with planning permission and building out the project at 52-54 Greenheys Road.
Planning permission was expected at committee last week but the meeting was suspended due to coronavirus. A decision by delegated powers could be made this week, according to John Siddell, head of development at Magenta.
The John McCall Architects-designed project would be the second extra care facility delivered by the development partners. Anwyl is currently on site with 21 units in Pensby for Magenta and has previously sold sites to the social landlord as part of affordable housing section 106 provision. Pending approval, construction is expected to take about 18 months.

Siddell said Magenta is currently working through a development plan for around 800 homes which has around two years to run; 200 have been completed, 300 are on site and 300 are going through planning. There is board approval for a further 1,600 units in the following five-six years.
