Anwyl announces two director promotions

Brent Davies was named Anwyl Partnerships’ commercial director, while Simon Rose has been appointed construction director.

The Ewloe-based developer said the promotions were part of its strategic growth and development plans.

Davies has been with Anwyl for a decade, having first joined as a senior estimator. He rose within the ranks, becoming a pre-construction manager and senior commercial manager. As commercial director, Davies will manage the company’s commercial team.

“The department has successfully secured an impressive workload for the next three years with a value in the region of £125m – the delivery of these schemes will rely on improved structure and commercial processes, together with appropriate resources and supply chain aligned with our own aspirations,” Davies said.

“My personal aim is to support the growth of the Anwyl Partnerships brand and become the company of choice for Housing Associations in the delivery of affordable homes and retirement living.”

Rose’s career path had a similar trajectory. He joined Anwyl in 2004 as a quantity surveyor, before being promoted to commercial manager and senior construction manager. As construction director, Davies will dedicate himself to improving current business processes.

“As always, I will be fully focused on providing the best possible delivery for our client partners,” Rose said. “A big part of my role, in conjunction with the other department heads, will be to ensure we keep information flowing for our construction teams, working effectively as part of one team.”

Anwyl Group’s group director Tom Anwyl said he was “particularly pleased” that the company could develop its team and promote employees to such senior positions.

“Simon and Brent have been instrumental in the evolution of our business and so naturally their roles will evolve in line with company expansion,” Anwyl said.

“They each bring a tremendous amount of experience, insight and skills to their roles and they will be able to further develop their potential with the exciting forthcoming projects,” he added.
