Andrew Duguid passes away at 72
The business rates specialist had worked at Tower Hamlets Valuation Office, Edwin Hill, and Roberts Vain Wilshaw during his long career.
Andrew Duguid died on 29 November from cancer. He had a reputation for being a tough negotiator, according to Richard Roberts, principal director with RVW. Roberts said that Duguid had used his skills to help clients such as Ford and Leeds Teaching Hospitals save millions of pounds.
“It was with great sadness that we heard of Andy Duguid’s passing,” Roberts said. “He was a great friend both personally and to the business, and will be hugely missed”
Paul Roberts, also a principal director at RVW, added: “Andy was a font of rating knowledge and an incredible intellect who would find opportunities and answers where others would have just given up.”
When Duguid wasn’t navigating the world of business rates, he was cheering on Leeds United and Yorkshire Cricket.
