Altin Homes submits plans for £11m Cheshire scheme

The Altrincham-based developer hopes to build 22 homes, which will be marketed at prices between £400,000 to £600,000, on the 6.6-acre site of a former garden centre on London Road in Allostock.

The All-in-One garden centre, which lies between the towns of Holmes Chapel and Knutsford, closed in 2016 before being marketed for sale by William Sillitoe.

Altin bought the site for £1.6m in 2018.

The scheme has been designed by Calderpeel Architects, with PWA Planning advising, and will include a range of properties from bungalows to four-bedroom barn-style homes.

All garages and driveways are hidden behind the properties to maintain the open views.

Altin has been working with a biodiversity specialist to design the landscaped area as a natural wildflower meadow with mown paths.

A pond will also allow a sustainable urban drainage system to be adopted where all rainwater from the roofs of the properties will drain into the pond.

Yousef Mousavi, design director at Altin Homes, said: “We are very excited about the scheme we have submitted to Cheshire West.

“Our vision is to create beautiful homes in a natural landscape. For this reason, our proposals are low-density, versatile in type-form and functionality and designed around an area of open meadow which is appropriate for the site’s location.”

Altin has delivered a number of residential projects in the region including a £19m development in Trafford, which included a £5m mansion.
