Alliance sets record for Widnes industrial

Property Alliance Group said its Widnes Trade Park development is now 60% let and rents have reached a record for industrial space in the town of £6.50/sq ft.

Occupants in the 50,000 sq ft, eight-unit speculative development include Screwfix, BSS, Edmondson Electricals and Dulux.

Paul Cook, associate director of letting agent CBRE, said: "With space for new developments now in short supply in historically popular areas, Widnes is increasingly gaining ground as a destination of choice for expanding and relocating companies."
