Allen on board at Northstone
Peel L&P’s housebuilding arm has appointed Joanna Allen as head of partnerships and development, bolstering the team headed by development director Jonathan England.
Allen, who has now started in the role, joined from a position as head of development at Tawd Valley Developments, a business set up by West Lancashire Council in early 2019.
Prior to that, she held roles at Sovini Group, Barratt, David Wilson Homes and Aster Homes. Northstone said that a key part of her brief will be to head up its delivery of social and affordable housing.
Allen said: “The momentum at Northstone has been building and I’m excited to be joining the team at such a busy period as several developments move into public consultations, we approach a start on site at Keld, Lancashire and go live with sales on Silkash in Westhoughton.”
Northstone was launched in October 2018 and is currently on site at its maiden development Silkash at Bolton Road in Westhoughton. Other projects in the works include 240 homes in Barrowford, consented in June, and a project at the former Pemberton Colliery in Wigan ,given outline consent in July.
Phil Wilson, chief executive at Northstone, said: “As Northstone begins to expand with several sites now making progress either on site or at planning stages, it’s important we have dynamic and people-focused individuals within our team to see these schemes through.
“Joanna brings a wealth of housing experience and I’m thrilled to welcome her to the team.”
