Airport seeks small project partners
Manchester Airports Group has published a tender notice as it seeks to establish a framework agreement for small and medium-sized projects at Manchester Airport, with a total value of up to £200m over eight years.
A maximum of 14 participants in the framework are envisaged. The framework sits apart from the £1bn, ten-year Manchester Airport Transformation Plan.
The works are divided into four lots. The first covers building works and fit-out of airside and landside projects, with individual projects worth up to £250,000. This is expected to be worth a total of £20m to £40m a year. The second lot deals with larger building works, with individual projects up to £3m, the scope over the eight-year period is £30m to £60m.
The third covers airside and landside civils works, with individual projects ranging up to £3m. The lot will be worth £30m to £60m in total. Finally, the fourth lot covers M&E works, including maintenance, testing and inspection, with individual projects worth up to £3m. Again, it could be worth a total of up to £60m over the eight years.
The deadline for interested parties is 12 December 2016. The group has issued similar notices covering works at Stansted, East Midlands and Bournemouth Airports, worth up to £60m, £180m and £8m in total respectively.
