AECOM lands £1.5m Liverpool schools upgrade contract
Over the course of three years, the multi-disciplinary consultancy is charged with improving the heating infrastructure of the educational facilities.
The £1.5m Liverpool Schools Capital Programme work could include upgrading boilers, redesigning radiators, and replacing pipework.
AECOM’s Liverpool office will utilise its expertise in building surveying, project management, mechanical and electrical engineering, and cost management to deliver the programme for Liverpool City Council.
“Warm and safe spaces are a vital foundation for learning and can unlock cost savings within school budgets – which are becoming increasingly squeezed,” said Paul Melton, director and office lead for Liverpool at AECOM.
“The strength and technical expertise of our multi-disciplinary team will enable us to manage this new programme from inception and we look forward to working with the council as it continues to deliver for the schools in the city region,” he said.
AECOM was awarded the contract through the Crown Commercial Services Construction Professional Services framework.
